This is the production art (NOT an original painting) for page 3 of Revolver (1990), a British comic anthology. This is from Brendan McCarthy's "Rogan Gosh" series, which was later gathered into a trade paperback titled Rogan Gosh by DC/Vertigo in the USA. This consists of a totally unique oversize (12" by 18") laser print, with several of the heads and other details clipped from other prints and carefully pasted in place. You have to run your fingers lightly over the surface to even discover this. This is brilliantly evocative artwork from McCarthy, exploring this hallucinatory adventure.
