This is the original art for the Abbie 'N' Slats daily dated 3-17-1951. This art is in very nice shape, with an art area of about 5" by 19". Al Capp, already famous for Lil' Abner, created this strip in 1936 and famed illustrator Raeburn Van Buren provided the art. In 1946 Al's brother, Elliot Caplin took over the writing.
